Simultaneous Joint Inversion of MMT and Seismic Data for Sub-basalt Exploration on the Atlantic Margin, Norway

WesternGeco recently acquired marine magnetotelluric (MMT) data along a long (170 km) line where it had previously acquired 2D seismic data in 1993. In this presentation, we use simultaneous joint inversion (SJI) with seismic and MMT data to produce a sub-basalt image superior to that obtained from seismic imaging alone.
