Optimized deghosting of over/under towed-streamer data in the presence of noise

Recent developments in streamer steering and positioning technology have allowed successful implementation of the over/under seismic acquisition technique. The benefits of the over/under technique can be summarized as extended bandwidth at low and high ends of the spectrum, and improved signal-to-noise ratio by the ability to tow streamers at greater depth, leading to the geophysical benefits of improved structural imaging, inversion, and rock property characterization.
