In the rarefied world of exploration geophysics, integration is the hottest concept today. The focus in geophysics centres on integrating non-seismic data with seismic data to gain an enhanced picture of the subsurface, particularly for offshore exploration. The high risk of exploring in difficult environments with complex geology is substantially mitigated when data from non-seismic methods, such as electromagnetic, gravity, and magnetic surveys, are integrated with the seismic interpretation. This articles describes a promising application of the controlled source electromagnetic method which may have implications for future Arctic exploration.
