Proprietary technology
WesternGeco invests heavily in research and engineering to develop technologies that improve land seismic operational efficiency and image quality.
Land Q-Technology has brought about a revolution in onshore seismic imaging through acquisition and processing of high-channel-count point-receiver surveys. UniQ is the latest generation point-receiver system, capable of acquiring up to 150,000 channels in real time.
DX-80 vibrators and/or dBX explosives provide the best possible seismic sources for your survey. A combination of the DX-80 vibrator and the MD Sweep provide the latest in low-distortion, high-power, broad-bandwidth source output, particularly enhancing the low-frequency of land seismic vibroseis data.
WesternGeco has recently developed SHARP (Slip-Sweep and Harmonic Removal Procedure), which combines the efficiency of slip-sweep acquisition with attenuation of the noise that is inherent with simultaneous source techniques.
The Ω-Suite family of processing software is used on all our land crews to provide in-field quality control and processing.
